Job Overview

Walla Walla Nursery, a renowned wholesale plant nursery, is seeking an Agricultural Specialist - Weed Control and Pest Management to join its team. As a key member of our staff, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health and well-being of our ornamental plants.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct routine safety inspections of equipment to maintain a safe working environment
  • Maintain proper chemical storage and mixing areas that comply with local and federal regulations
  • Manage inventory and usage of herbicides and pesticides to prevent overuse and minimize environmental impact
  • Operate sprayers and spreaders to treat specific insect and landscape diseases
Requirements and Qualifications
  • Ability to learn and apply effective methods for applying herbicides, fungicides, fertilizers, and insecticides
  • Excellent organizational skills to manage inventory and chemical storage areas
  • Strong attention to detail to ensure compliance with regulations
