Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Chemist to join the Tucker Parker Smith Group (TPS Group) team. This role is designed for a motivated individual who will work under the guidance of the Production Supervisor in a collaborative environment focused on large-scale manufacturing processes.

Contract Details:

Type: 3-Month W-2 Contract (with potential for extension or conversion)

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute manufacturing processes to align with production schedules for both standard and customized products.
  • Utilize laboratory equipment effectively, including spectrophotometers, centrifuges, pH meters, and HPLC systems.
  • Prepare and conduct tests on large-scale buffers and blood products, ensuring adherence to the highest quality standards and approved procedures.
  • Calculate necessary constituents for product formulation and maintain accurate records of baseline and in-process results.
  • Perform timely and precise inventory transactions to support operational efficiency.
  • Manufacture products in compliance with established written protocols and organizational policies.
  • Analyze and present technical data as required, ensuring clarity and accuracy.
  • Maintain rigorous laboratory practices and procedures.
  • Ensure all pre-production activities are completed prior to initiating processes, including equipment checks and raw material inventory assessments.
  • Review and finalize batch records to ensure compliance with production standards.
  • Conduct daily housekeeping and additional related tasks as necessary.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Life Science or a related field, with a minimum of 1 year of relevant industry experience.
  • Experience in large-scale bulk manufacturing, EIA plating, ELISA assays, centrifugation, autoclaving, sterilization, and cartridge filtration is essential.
  • Familiarity with regulated industry practices is advantageous.
  • Proficient in basic laboratory techniques and equipment usage.
  • Experience with ERP systems, such as SAP, for inventory management is preferred.
  • Competent in MS Office applications.
  • Basic understanding of high-pressure equipment in a manufacturing context.
  • Knowledge of good manufacturing practices in a federally regulated environment is required.
