Job Summary

This is an exciting opportunity to join the Headquarters, Air Force Reserve Command team as an Aircraft Mechanic. As an Aircraft Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft systems, including airframe, landing gear, power plant, and hydraulic systems. You will also be responsible for inspecting and troubleshooting aircraft systems, and providing training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform maintenance and repair tasks on aircraft systems, including airframe, landing gear, power plant, and hydraulic systems.
  • Inspect and troubleshoot aircraft systems to identify and diagnose problems.
  • Provide training to reservists in the accomplishment of tasks.
  • Work with a team to ensure that aircraft are maintained and repaired in a safe and efficient manner.
  • Use specialized tools and equipment to perform maintenance and repair tasks.
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • 2 years of experience in aircraft maintenance and repair.
  • Knowledge of aircraft systems, including airframe, landing gear, power plant, and hydraulic systems.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Working Conditions

This position requires working in a hangar environment, with exposure to extreme temperatures, noise, and hazardous materials. The incumbent must be able to lift up to 80 pounds and stand for long periods of time.
