Pulmonary Care Expertise:

We are seeking an experienced Pulmonary Care Specialist to join our team at Christus Health. As a Critical Care Therapist, you will be responsible for providing expert care to adult, pediatric, and neonatal patients in critical, non-critical, and chronically ill conditions under the direction of a physician with minimal supervision. Your expertise in patient assessments and respiratory care plans will make a significant difference in the lives of our patients.

Responsibilities:

• Provide airway management, including nasotracheal & endotracheal suctioning, delivery of aerosolized drugs, ventilator management, oral hygiene, airway retaining device placement and maintenance, airway support device management, oxygen delivery devices, and therapeutic monitoring
• Analyze chest films, blood gases, and EKGs to inform respiratory care decisions
• Develop and implement advanced practice skills, including therapeutic gas management and monitoring, pulmonary function testing, bronchoscopy assist, hemodynamic monitoring, waveform analysis, nocturnal SpO2 evaluation, polysomnography, and transport duties

Requirements:

• RT or RCP License in state of employment required
• BLS certification required
• Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) by NBRC required
• Current ACLS, PALS, and NRP certifications required
• 1-3 years of experience preferred
