We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Austin Market Float Pool Emergency Department team. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will be responsible for providing exceptional patient care and contributing to the delivery of high-quality patient outcomes.
Responsibilities- Perform patient assessments, develop and implement individualized care plans, and evaluate patient responses to treatment.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care transitions and optimize patient outcomes.
- Administer medications, complete treatments, and perform venipuncture as needed.
- Provide education and support to patients and families on care and treatment plans.
- Review and implement physician orders, ensuring accurate and timely documentation.
- Notify Charge Nurses and physicians of changes in patient status and provide accurate and relevant patient information reports.
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience as a Registered Nurse (RN)
- Minimum 2 years of clinical nursing experience as an RN in the Emergency Department setting
- Associate's degree in Nursing (ADN) from an accredited program or Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) - preferred
- Current State of Texas Registered Nurse (RN) license or Compact Registered Nursing License. If Compact License, Texas license must be obtained within 90 days of hire
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) OR Advanced Life Support (ALS) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) OR Emergency Nursing Pediatric Course (ENCP) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy
- Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification per St. David's Healthcare policy required within 12 months of hire
- NIH Stroke Certification per St. David's Healthcare policy within 60 days of hire
