**About the Role:**
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Deputy Chief Legal Officer to join our team at International Leadership of Texas.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in public education law, excellent research and litigation skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with all levels of management.

About the Job:
As a Deputy Chief Legal Officer, you will be responsible for providing in-house legal support services to our superintendent, designated staff, and board of trustees. This will include representation, research, and advice on various legal matters, as well as drafting, reviewing, and revising legal documents.
You will also attend board meetings and other administrative meetings to provide legal counsel, assist with the coordination of legal services provided by outside law firms, and act as the district's hearing officer for applicable student and employee grievances, complaints, and appeals.
Additionally, you will monitor compliance with federal and state laws, State Board of Education rules, and local board policies, and provide guidance on district records and requests under the Texas Public Information Act.
Requirements:
- Law degree from an American Bar Association approved law school
- Licensed to practice law in the State of Texas, in good standing
- Three years of experience in public or private practice dealing with legal issues of local, state, federal government, or public-school law
What We Offer:
We offer a competitive salary range of $140,000 - $180,000 per year, commensurate with experience, and a comprehensive benefits package that includes health insurance, retirement plan, and paid time off.
