Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Faculty Physician to join our team at Allina Health. As a Faculty Physician, you will be responsible for providing full scope clinical care for patients and families, teaching and supervising residents and medical students, and participating in residency program curriculum development and scholarly activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Direct Patient Care:
- Provides direct patient care for family medicine patients of all ages, including pregnant patients and newborns.
- Reviews patient's medical history while collecting, prioritizing, and synthesizing comprehensive data pertinent to the patient's health or situation.
- Evaluates, interprets, and coordinates information to make decisions and recommendations regarding patient care.
- Performs intrapartum obstetrical care, including deliveries.
- Teaching:
- Supervises and teaches residents and medical students in the ambulatory and inpatient environments.
- Promotes and participates in the educational programs of the residency, including didactic presentations, case discussions, and procedural training.
- Quality:
- Utilizes quality improvement tools to develop processes that promote continuous improvement in delivery of patient care, patient outcomes, or workflows.
Required Qualifications
- Doctoral/Ph.D. level advanced degree in Medicine.
- 0-2 years of clinical practice experience with demonstrated excellence in patient care.
- Demonstrated clinical proficiency in Family Medicine outpatient practice and hospital medicine for adults and children, including newborns.
- Experience in clinical teaching.
Compensation and Benefits
The estimated salary for this position is $229,000 - $245,000 per year, reflecting the starting base pay range for a full-time employee. We offer a comprehensive benefits package, including medical/dental insurance, PTO/time away, retirement savings plans, life insurance, short-term/long-term disability, paid caregiver leave, voluntary benefits (vision, legal, critical illness), tuition reimbursement or continuing medical education as applicable, and student loan support benefits to navigate the Federal Public Service Loan Forgiveness Program.
