Maintenance Technician Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team at Daybreak Foods. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our equipment and facilities.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Inspect and maintain food processing equipment to ensure optimal performance
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical wiring, and installation of new equipment
  • Diagnose and repair equipment malfunctions in a timely and efficient manner
  • Document all maintenance activities, including preventative maintenance
  • Collaborate with facility supervisors to ensure maintenance activities are completed safely and efficiently
Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Maintenance certification or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain First Aid/CPR certification
  • Previous experience in maintenance, preferably in food manufacturing or processing
  • Strong knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance
Work Environment:

Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and water, and chemicals. Temperature is regulated for operations standards. Cooler temperatures occur in specific areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate. Proper personal protective equipment will be required during certain working conditions.

Employees are required to comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP's) due to working in a food manufacturing environment (hairnets, clean clothes, etc.).
