Position Overview:
This role within the Nursing Service Department involves delivering patient care with the expertise of a Registered Nurse. The candidate must exhibit the clinical skills necessary to function as the Primary RN on the assigned Unit. Responsibilities include coordinating patient care delivery, completing required documentation, and engaging in patient and family education and discharge planning, all while effectively utilizing the Nursing Process.
Essential Qualifications:
- Associate's degree is required
- A minimum of 1 year of experience in Med Surg/Telemetry is necessary
- Critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work independently in a high-pressure environment are essential
- BCLS certification is required upon hire (ACLS certification will replace BCLS once obtained)
- ACLS certification must be achieved within 60 days of hire
- PALS and TNCC certifications are required within 6 months of hire (not applicable for RN Travelers)
- Moderate Sedation training must be completed within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
- EKG Course and NIHSS Stroke training must be completed within 30 days of hire and annually thereafter
- An Arizona Registered Nurse (RN) License or Compact State Registered Nurse (RN) License is required upon hire
