Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled Packaging Machine Operator to join our team at Campbell Soup Company. As a Packaging Machine Operator, you will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of packaging machinery, ensuring the continuous flow of product to the packaging lines.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain shift documentation, including Metal Detector and Batch Order Verifications
  • Read and interpret production schedules in MicroStrategy
  • Perform nitrogen testing and maintain an adequate supply of roll stock
  • Set up and write new programs for bag makers and create/modifying machine micro logic
  • Perform preventative maintenance on equipment and troubleshoot issues
  • Operate packaging equipment, including case sealers and robot cells
  • Monitor and adjust machines to ensure proper cut off film and bags have proper end seals and back seals
  • Ensure machines are running at standard speeds and monitor product appearance
  • Perform bag weight checks and inspect for quality issues
  • Identify and resolve packaged product quality issues
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED preferred, but not required
  • 1-year production experience in a manufacturing environment preferred, but not required
Work Environment:

The Packaging Machine Operator will work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with exposure to moving mechanical parts, wet and/or humid conditions, and caustic chemicals. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.

Compensation and Benefits:

The starting rate for this full-time, hourly position is $22.50. Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
