The Dental Hygienist provides oral health care and dental health education to patients in the hospital clinic as prescribed by the Dentist. This part-time opportunity is ideal for a motivated and detail-oriented individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality patient care.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver oral health care and dental health education to patients in the hospital clinic.
- Contribute to the assessment and delivery of individual patient care.
- Provide age-appropriate care and service to patients from birth to 21 years, and selected adults.
- Participate in the educational, safety, and quality efforts of the Dental Practice.
- Perform other duties as required.
Requirements:
- Experience as a Dental Hygienist is preferred.
- Experience with electronic medical records is preferred.
- Strong attention to detail and concentration skills is required.
- Experience in healthcare is preferred.
- Experience working in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word) or similar software is required.
- Experience and willingness to work with Nitrous Oxide.
Education and Experience:
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent and graduate of an accredited dental training program or the equivalent in applicable experience is required; Bachelor's degree is preferred.
Certification:
Licensed to practice dental hygiene in the state of Ohio is required.
- Certified in CPR is required.
Years of relevant experience:
Minimum one year of experience is preferred.
Years of experience supervising:
None.
