We are currently seeking a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our team at Havenwyck Hospital, a Joint Commission-accredited psychiatric hospital located in Auburn Hills, Michigan. As an LPN on our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality patient care, working closely with Registered Nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.

About the Role

This is a full-time, night shift position, requiring three shifts per week from 7:00 pm to 7:30 am. Every other weekend will be included in your schedule. You will work collaboratively with our experienced nursing staff to provide individualized care to patients with varying needs and diagnoses.

Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality patient care under the supervision of Registered Nurses, adhering to established policies and procedures.
  • Administer medications as prescribed, ensuring accurate dosages and monitoring patients for side effects or adverse reactions.
  • Assist patients with activities of daily living, promoting independence and dignity while maintaining a safe environment.
  • Identify medical problems and report them to Charge Nurses, collaborating with the healthcare team to develop effective treatment plans.
  • Participate in Non-Violent Crisis Interventions, utilizing de-escalation techniques to resolve conflicts and promote a therapeutic environment.

Requirements
  • Graduate from an accredited School of Practical Nursing required.
  • Current status as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of Michigan required.
  • Must obtain Registered Nurse (RN) degree and licensure within thirty (30) months of hire.
