POSITION OVERVIEW:
Utilize lathe, milling, and sawing machinery to manufacture metal components in alignment with company protocols and the APSCO Quality Manual.
IMPORTANT NOTICE:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Operate various machining equipment (saw, lathe, or mill) with minimal supervision.
Interpret blueprints and schematics to ascertain specifications, methods, and sequences necessary for the fabrication of required components.
Produce parts in accordance with customer specifications and inventory requirements, or as directed by the Supervisor.Ensure finished products meet specifications using precision measuring tools.
Complete the necessary Shop Traveler documentation for each batch of parts and submit to the Quality Inspector.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace.
Perform additional tasks as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
EDUCATION:
Technical School Diploma
EXPERIENCE:
At least 2 years of experience operating mills and/or lathes.
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Proficient operation of various mills, lathes, and saws
Ability to read blueprints, calipers, and micrometers
Capable of deburring own parts
Strong problem-solving skills in shop mathematics
Programming knowledge is advantageous but not mandatory
Attention to detail and commitment to quality
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

Specific vision capabilities required for this role include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
