Job Title: Line Controller

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Line Controller to join our team at E. A. Sween Company. As a Line Controller, you will be responsible for leading the production line, ensuring efficiency, quality, and safety standards are met.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety and Health: Wear necessary safety gear, complete quarterly safety training sessions, and maintain a safe working environment.
  • Quality/Food Safety: Execute food safety and quality activities, assist in opening rejects, and follow good manufacturing practices.
  • Cost (Continuous Improvement): Contribute to Lean activities, work with production employees to assemble the lowest cost, highest quality product, and minimize waste.
  • Standard Work: Safely operate equipment, prepare the production line for startup, inspect sandwiches, and adjust equipment speed to maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Leadership: Support the company's spirit, purpose, and vision, communicate effectively with leads and supervisors, and provide a friendly positive work environment.
Requirements:
  • Must be at least 18 years old to operate equipment.
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Previous assembly work and knowledge of Good Manufacturing Practices required.
  • Mechanical aptitude and ability to read and communicate in English required.
  • Ability to moderately lift 50 lbs. required.
Preferred Experience:
  • Previous food-related experience preferred.
Physical Environment:
  • Ability to be on feet majority of the day.
  • Ability to bend, twist, turn, push, pull, and reach overhead moderately.
  • Ability to moderately lift 50 lbs.
  • Ability to work in cool conditions.
