About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Health Screener to join our team at BioLife Plasma Services. As a Health Screener, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and well-being of our donors by conducting thorough health screenings and monitoring their vital signs during the donation process.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet donors and conduct initial health screenings to identify any potential health risks
  • Monitor donors' vital signs, including pulse, blood pressure, and temperature, during the donation process
  • Administer venipuncture and program plasmapheresis machines to collect plasma from donors
  • Manage donor reactions and respond to any medical emergencies that may arise
  • Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting on plasmapheresis equipment
  • Stock supplies, break down empty cartons, and assist with proper disposal
  • Enter donor information into the Donor Information System (DIS) and coordinate donors to the donor floor
  • Compensate donors using the Debit Card system and support the center management team in identifying operational opportunities for continuous improvement
Requirements
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift
  • Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays
  • Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees
  • Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
  • Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance
  • 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient-facing role is helpful
