We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Staff Attorney to join our Housing Unit in Olean, New York. As a Staff Attorney, you will play a critical role in providing comprehensive legal services to eligible clients, with a focus on landlord-tenant, homelessness prevention, and government benefits.

• Maintain a full-time caseload representing eligible clients and develop specialized knowledge in housing matters.
• Provide legal services to low-income clients and client groups, including advice, negotiation, litigation, and administrative advocacy.
• Collaborate with other advocates, human services providers, and community groups to address legal problems within our community.
• Cooperate in grant reporting requirements, program reporting, timekeeping, file maintenance, case closing, and compliance review.

• Juris Doctorate or Equivalent
• Admitted to practice and in good standing in New York State, eligible for admission without examination, or willing to take the next available Bar examination.
• Demonstrated commitment of service to low-income people.

• Competitive salary based on experience, with a starting salary of $70,000 and annual increments up to $84,400.
