**Job Summary**
We are seeking a full-time Cardiology Nocturnist to provide high-quality care to patients in the Greater Charlotte/Concord community. As part of our dynamic team of specialized cardiology MDs and APPs, you will play a vital role in directing in-hospital care services and performing medical acts under the supervision of the Service line physician.
**Responsibilities**
- Evaluate new patients, consults, and established patients from the ER and on the cardiovascular service, diagnose, treat, and manage common conditions in the cardiovascular population.
- Perform an appropriate history and physical exam, write emergent progress notes, assess, and prepare patient workups and follows core measures for documentation, including hospital and 3rd-party payer requirements, and appropriate patient care.
- Facilitate and order diagnostic studies, including echocardiograms, stress tests, MRIs, CTs, and cardiac catheterization if indicated.
- Order appropriate laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures, explaining necessity, preparation, and risks and benefits to the patient and family.
**Requirements**
- Graduation from an accredited NP or PA program and current licensure to practice as a NP or PA in North Carolina.
- Current prescriptive privileges and DEA license required.
- BLS/ACLS Certified.
- Nurse practitioners are required to have Acute Care Certification.
- Physician Assistants with certification from the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants required.
- 1+ years of experience as a provider required; experience in Cardiology preferred.
**Compensation**
The estimated salary for this position is $120,000-$180,000 per year, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, Atrium Health offers a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision insurance, 401(k) matching, and paid time off.
**Work Environment**
The SHVI Cabarrus campus is a 450-bed tertiary care center with subspecialty support located in the suburbs of Charlotte, NC. The campus features a brand-new, state-of-the-art, three-floor heart and vascular tower, housing all procedural areas of cardiology, as well as inpatient floor, general cardiology floor, step-down unit, and cardiac ICU.
