Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering and a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience

  • Proficient in structural design software such as STAAD, STAADPro, and RISA3D
  • Advanced capabilities in Mathcad, including analyzing complex structures and dynamic analysis

General Requirements:

  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with project management, colleagues, clients, vendors, and subcontractors
  • Ability to adhere to local, state, and federal regulations and guidelines
  • Attention to detail and the ability to work efficiently

Preferred Qualifications:

  • In-depth knowledge of material costs and availability
  • Experience designing systems and structures for nuclear facilities in accordance with ASME NQA-1
  • Proven track record in managing and leading large-scale projects
  • Proficiency in project setup, development of control-level schedules, progress tracking, and project closure
  • Hands-on field experience
  • Experience in EPC projects for sectors such as the US Department of Energy or other federal agencies, nuclear facilities, manufacturing, pharmaceuticals, or biotechnology
  • Expertise in STAADPro and Mathcad

Key Responsibilities:

  • Act as an Area Lead, offering guidance and supervision to engineers and designers
  • Analyze and provide independent recommendations for technical solutions to complex problems in line with project requirements
  • Develop and review specifications and design criteria
  • Conduct and verify engineering analyses and calculations; specify materials, equipment, and systems; and resolve complex technical issues
  • Coordinate technical matters with other disciplines, project management, vendors, and clients
  • Ensure compliance with the Project Quality Plan and established project scope, cost, and schedule
  • Prepare and review estimates, schedules, and progress reports, including effort-hour estimates and staff forecasting
  • Establish and monitor key material quantities; provide analysis and forecasts
  • Support procurement and subcontracting activities, including scopes of work and vendor evaluations
  • Assist with construction administration tasks, including responding to requests for information and field changes
  • Perform additional duties as assigned
