Nutrition Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled Nutrition Specialist to join our team at HCA Florida Putnam Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare staff, you will play a vital role in ensuring the nutritional needs of our patients are met.

• Conduct comprehensive nutritional assessments for patients and develop personalized plans to meet their dietary requirements.
• Assess patient diets and make recommendations for improvements, working closely with our medical team to ensure optimal care.
• Instruct patients on healthy eating habits and provide guidance on managing dietary restrictions.
• Lead a team of nutrition professionals in planning, preparing, and serving meals to patients.
• Maintain accurate records of patient reactions to prescribed diets and contribute to ongoing quality improvement initiatives.

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

• A Bachelor's or Master's degree in Foods and Nutrition or Dietetics from an accredited institution.
• A minimum of 1-2 years of experience in an acute care setting, preferably in a similar role.
• Current Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) certification and State Certified Dietitian status.
• New graduates must pass the Registration Examination for Dietitians within 30 days of starting work.
