This role is pivotal in sustaining a vibrant, positive atmosphere where client-focused service is consistently prioritized. The Retail Operations Supervisor plays a crucial role in enhancing store performance, encouraging exceptional client service, and ensuring operational excellence to meet or surpass established productivity benchmarks. This individual will oversee and guide the Makery team to fulfill company objectives, leading by example in all operational aspects. The Retail Operations Supervisor instills a sense of urgency to meet goals and holds the team accountable for delivering an outstanding client experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee and manage daily operations of the Makery in a dynamic environment
  • Lead by example in all operational functions, including creating a client-centric experience, achieving personal sales targets, and producing quality products
  • Maintain a professional and impeccably organized Makery environment
  • Set clear goals and objectives for Team Members
  • Provide coaching, training, and constructive feedback to enhance Team Members' performance
  • Manage and monitor inventory of raw materials, finished goods, and supplies
  • Compile sales reports, oversee inventory management, and assist with other managerial tasks
  • Support the Store Manager in managing revenue and expenses
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends
  • Expect to work five days a week, with a typical schedule of 40 to 45 hours depending on employment status
Qualifications:
  • Preferred college education, though not mandatory
  • Experience in management and/or sales is advantageous
  • Effective communication skills at all levels
  • Desirable qualities include being a skilled trainer, motivator, and leader
Physical Requirements:
  • Ability to stand and walk for extended periods
  • Not sensitive to various scents and fragrances
  • Manual dexterity and strength to lift or assist in lifting items up to 50lbs
  • Capability to perform various physical tasks including walking, reaching, climbing, balancing, twisting, kneeling, or crouching
  • Ability to conduct cleaning duties within the Makery

WHY WE MAKE SOAP

Most of the trusted brands you use are made with detergents, chemicals, and tallow, which is just another name for cow fat. Sulfates, artificial detergents, and parabens can cause irritation and trigger allergies. We set out to find an alternative. After learning more about commercial soap ingredients, we began experimenting with safe soap recipes that contain ingredients you can actually pronounce. Buff City Soap was born from our passion for clean, effective products.
