We are seeking a skilled Occupational Therapist to join our team at Riverside Health System in Gloucester, Virginia. As an Occupational Therapist, you will play a vital role in helping patients achieve their functional goals and improve their quality of life.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct thorough evaluations to determine OT diagnoses and develop individualized plans of care.
- Perform occupational therapy procedures to aid in restoring function, improving mobility, relieving pain, and preventing permanent physical disabilities.
- Evaluate and assess patients in a timely manner, based on principles outlined by practice guidelines, evidence-based guidelines, and regulatory standards.
- Document progress for evaluation, billing, and reporting purposes.
- Advise patients on adaptive equipment to help with daily activities.
- Build trusting relationships with a multi-disciplinary team to support patient care needs.
- Participate in training and support of team members, volunteers, and students.
- Bachelor's Degree, Master's Degree, or Doctoral Degree in Occupational Therapy.
- 1 year of experience in Occupational Therapy (preferred).
- License Occupational Therapy (OT) - Virginia Department of Health Professions (VDHP) and License Occupational Therapy (OTR) - National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy Inc (NBCOT).
- CPR/BLS Certification - American Heart Association/American Red Cross/American Safety and Health Institute (AHA/ARC).
