Job Title: Government Contract Professional

MITRE is seeking a highly skilled Government Contract Professional to join our team. As a key member of our contracting team, you will be responsible for all aspects of contract negotiation, management, and administration.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide cradle-to-grave contract administration expertise, primarily supporting MITRE's contract with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).
  • Exercise independent judgment and discretion in supporting project/program planning activities and solving complex contract issues.
  • Build trusted collaborative relationships with Government Contracting Officers and negotiate outcomes in the best interest of MITRE and our Government Sponsor.
  • Contribute to contracting strategies and initiatives that support MITRE's business model and goals.
Requirements:
  • Typically requires a minimum of 8 years of related experience with a Bachelor's degree; or 6 years and a Master's degree; or a PhD with 3 years' experience; or equivalent combination of related education and work experience.
  • Strong working knowledge of U.S. Government contract laws and regulations.
  • Submitted proposals and negotiated contracts with federal government entities.
  • Experience working with multiple contract types (FFP, T&M, Cost Reimbursable, etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience working with Federal Grants.
  • Experience working with state, local, and non-profit institutions.
