The Automotive Parts Courier is responsible for ensuring a seamless service experience for wholesale clients by delivering automotive components directly to their locations.
Key Responsibilities
- Welcomes clients with a courteous and professional demeanor.
- Retrieves ordered parts from stock or informs the parts department if items are unavailable.
- Exercises sound judgment and adheres to safe driving practices at all times.
- Maintains an efficient delivery schedule, communicating departure and arrival times to the employer.
- Utilizes communication devices to stay in contact with the dealership or other delivery vehicles regarding service interruptions.
- Keeps a detailed log of delivery trips.
- Alerts the dispatcher or service manager about any maintenance needs for the delivery vehicle, including oil changes, tire checks, and general upkeep.
- Conducts routine cleaning of assigned vehicles, including dusting, vacuuming, and washing.
- Ensures that vehicles are organized and tidy.
- Refuels the vehicle as necessary.
- Operates all tools and equipment safely and responsibly.
- Uses appropriate protective gear when handling materials that require safety precautions.
- Builds and maintains positive relationships with wholesale clients.
- Comprehends and adheres to workplace rules and procedures.
- Meets all attendance and punctuality standards, accurately recording arrival, departure, and break times.
- Follows lawful instructions from supervisors.
- Upholds the company's confidentiality and non-disclosure policies.
- May be required to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Completes all necessary documentation in line with company policies.
- Stays informed about and complies with relevant federal, state, and local regulations affecting parts operations, including hazardous waste management and emergency response protocols.
- Utilizes proper safety equipment and acts in accordance with company policies and regulations.
- Remains updated on new tools and equipment, providing recommendations for purchases.
- Ensures cleanliness in work areas and customer waiting areas.
- Adheres to all attendance and punctuality standards.
- Complies with the Code of Business Ethics and Conduct.
- Understands and follows all workplace rules and procedures, following lawful directions from supervisors.
- Attends company meetings as required.
- Maintains a professional appearance and a tidy workspace in accordance with company standards.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
