Medical Collections Specialist

Job DescriptionAs a Medical Collections Specialist, you will be responsible for collecting quality blood samples from patients while ensuring the highest level of customer satisfaction.
You will work closely with patients to create a comfortable and trustful atmosphere, explaining procedures in a clear and concise manner.
Your primary objective will be to perform daily tasks accurately and efficiently, maintaining a safe and professional environment at all times.
You will also be responsible for performing specimen collection and processing duties, verifying patient demographic information, and maintaining required records and documentation.
Required Skills and QualificationsTo succeed in this role, you will need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent.
- Medical training as a medical assistant or paramedic is preferred.
- Phlebotomy certification is also desirable.
- A minimum of 3 years of phlebotomy experience, including pediatric, geriatric, and capillary collections.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Patient Service Center environment is highly preferred.
- Customer service experience in a retail or service environment is also beneficial.
- Keyboard/data entry skills are essential.
- The ability to provide quality, error-free work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric.
- Superior customer focus, open communication with peers, supervisors, and patients, and adaptability to change.

- A competitive salary range of $45,000 - $65,000 per year, depending on experience.
