Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical Safety Specialist to join our team at HACI Mechanical Contractors, Inc. in Phoenix, AZ.

The estimated salary for this role is $65,000 - $85,000 per year, depending on experience.

This is a full-time position with competitive benefits, including medical, dental, vision, life, disability, sick pay, anniversary bonus, 401K plan, and paid holidays.

As a Mechanical Safety Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring the workplace is safe and healthy for employees.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Ensuring employees follow safety regulations through site walks
  • Conducting on-site training on safety procedures as well as tool certification
  • Ensuring HACI safety programs are working effectively and efficiently
  • Investigating incidents and reporting on safety issues
  • Conducting new hire safety training
  • Maintaining a drug-free environment and requiring drug testing as a condition of employment

Requirements for this role include:

  • 5+ years construction experience (safety or safety-related experience)
  • 30-hour OSHA training (must be able to present card for validation)
  • Valid driver's license with clear driving record
  • Bilingual required (English/Spanish read and write)
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs
  • Ability to walk and climb steps for extended periods in summer heat
