Job Title: VMware Engineer

Mountaire Farms is seeking a highly skilled VMware Engineer to join our team. As a VMware Engineer, you will be responsible for managing and implementing enterprise-wide virtual environments to support critical data, network, and application infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Install, configure, and manage VMware vSphere.
  • Maintain virtualized architecture using vCenter.
  • Manage the Cisco unified computing system (UCS) administration.
  • Install/provision all UCS domain components, including fabric interconnects, chassis, blades, service profiles, pools, policies, templates, and firmware.
  • Develop and deploy customized VMware solutions, virtualizing Windows and Linux servers, and connecting them to Mountaire's infrastructure.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve VMware environment issues.
  • Manage storage allocation, space, and replication strategies.
  • Build good relations with team members and customers.
  • Protect company assets and promote a culture of safety.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science.
  • 5+ years' experience in Microsoft Windows Server Administration, including Server 2012, 2016, and 2019 operating systems.
  • 3+ years' experience in virtual machine (VM) template design and leveraging vCenter Operations Manager to its right size, virtual servers.
  • 3+ years' experience with server consolidation/virtualization for hardware reduction and site migrations via virtual to virtual (V2V) and physical to virtual (P2V).
  • 3+ years' experience installing/provisioning all UCS domain components, including fabric interconnects, chassis, blades, service profiles, pools, policies, templates, and firmware.
  • VMware certifications preferred in Data Center Virtualization, VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and/or VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP Design or VCAP Deploy).
  • Project management skills.
  • Cisco unified computing system (UCS) administration.
