Job Title: Clinical Pharmacy Technician I

Option Care Health is seeking a highly skilled Clinical Pharmacy Technician I to join our team. As a Clinical Pharmacy Technician I, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and accurate operation of our pharmacy services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist licensed pharmacists in ensuring compliance with Option Care Health policies and procedures, as well as state professional standards and regulations.
  • Review and validate prescription refill requests, process according to OCH policies and procedures, and assist with preparing and dispensing medications and supplies.
  • Maintain equipment through calibration, inspection, cleaning, testing, and inform supervisor of any defects.
  • Collect and maintain patient information required to ensure accurate planning of needed materials, supplies, equipment, and prescriptions.
  • Ensure a positive patient experience through answering patient questions and responding to patient requests.
  • Receives and verifies quantities of incoming supplies and materials, stocks and stores new supplies and materials, reviews expiration dates, identifies shortages, picks and packs materials and supplies, creates tickets, and tracks inventory through accurate data entry into applicable system(s).
  • Schedule routine patient deliveries and clean and sanitize surfaces and laminar hood flows, clean and organize supplies.
Requirements:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 0 to 6 months of relevant experience.
  • Licensed or registered within 6 months of hire (if required by state).
  • Successful enrollment and completion of the OCH designated training course within 6 months of hire (if licensure and/or training course is required by the state).
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Previous healthcare or pharmacy technician experience is preferred.
