About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Diesel Fleet Technician to join our team at Sysco. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the safe and reliable operation of our fleet of vehicles.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preventive Maintenance: Perform regular inspections and maintenance on vehicles and equipment to prevent breakdowns and ensure optimal performance.
  • Diagnostic and Repair: Diagnose and repair complex issues with vehicles and equipment, including electrical systems, engines, and transmissions.
  • Inspections and Reporting: Conduct thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment, and maintain accurate records of maintenance and repairs.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with drivers, dispatchers, and other team members to ensure seamless communication and coordination.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: 3 years of experience in fleet maintenance and repair, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Certifications and Skills: ASE certifications in Automotive or Medium/Heavy Duty Trucks, and proficiency in electrical meter testing and computer-based diagnostic software.
  • Physical Demands: Ability to lift and move up to 100 pounds, and work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity.
Working Conditions

This role requires the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with frequent changes in temperature and humidity. The associate will be required to work non-traditional business hours, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays. The associate may be required to travel to other Operating Companies or the corporate office as business needs dictate.
