The On-Site Gas Services Manager will be responsible for optimizing inventory management and streamlining delivery schedules from our facilities to clients.

In this position, you will enhance the distribution of cylinder gases for our customers, manage distribution costs effectively, and ensure uninterrupted service to client operations. The role requires travel between various sites and consistent attendance at both customer and supply locations.

Key Responsibilities: (1st shift)
  • Manage cylinder ordering, including communication with the plant and coordination of local inventories across multiple locations.
    • Gases managed may include industrial, specialty, laboratory, and medical gases.
    • May involve management of inhaled nitric oxide and associated equipment.
    • Requires knowledge of CGA, NFPA, DOT, and other relevant standards.
  • Oversee cylinder disbursement and retrieval, ensuring compliance with NFPA 99 chapter 9 for proper handling.
  • Handle cylinder billing, including communication with the plant and utilizing tracking systems.
  • Engage with customers, including facility support staff and clinical personnel.
  • Perform order entry and tracking using JD Edwards systems.
  • Manage inventory of both in-use and depleted cylinders, as well as equipment and disposables.
  • Identify and communicate potential sales opportunities internally.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to medical devices.
  • Conduct necessary maintenance and calibration of devices.
  • Be available for after-hours on-call duties, which may require site visits.
  • Complete other assigned tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
What Makes You Stand Out:
  • High School Diploma / GED required; additional education or trade skills are a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to connect with customers and internal teams.
  • Proficiency in computer systems is essential.
  • A clean driving record is necessary.
  • Ability to pass security clearance for access to refineries and chemical plants is required.
  • Knowledge of cylinder gases is highly beneficial.
  • Must be capable of safely handling heavy loads regularly (including carts weighing up to 1200 lbs.).
  • Must be able to lift and move items weighing up to 40 lbs. safely.
