Position Overview:

The Senior Structural Project Engineer will collaborate closely with a designated Senior Project Manager within the Structural division.

The primary responsibility of the Senior Structural Project Engineer is to ensure the timely and budget-conscious delivery of assigned projects.

This role requires managing multiple projects simultaneously and effectively multitasking to meet all objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership Duties:
Assign tasks and responsibilities to team members as necessary.

Core Responsibilities:
Execute engineering assignments with minimal oversight, utilizing expertise, judgment, and education to resolve engineering challenges.

Thoroughly understand the company's standards and design protocols, and contribute to the development of Project Engineers.

Proficiently use design and drafting software to produce engineering documentation.
Conduct site visits prior to initiating design and throughout the construction phase.
Prepare comprehensive construction documents for review with limited supervision.
Engage in client meetings for assigned projects, fostering relationships with clients and the design team.
Participate in review meetings with clients, consultants, and/or municipal staff, gaining familiarity with the plan coordination process.
Draft and/or revise technical reports and specifications.
Establish a reputation as a leader within the team.
Perform additional related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Essential Skills:
Demonstrated leadership abilities with a capacity to mentor and train colleagues.
Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Strong comprehension abilities in both verbal and written formats.
Meticulous attention to detail.
Exceptional organizational skills, capable of managing multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

Education and Experience:
A Bachelor's Degree in Civil, Architectural, or a related engineering discipline is required.
Professional Engineer (PE) License.
Experience with advanced design and drafting software.
A solid understanding of code and permitting requirements for engineering projects.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Extended periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
Ability to lift up to 15 pounds occasionally.
Some travel to project sites may be required, with potential exposure to uneven terrain and varying weather conditions.
