About the Role

This is a critical position that requires a strong leader to oversee the daily operations of our transportation fleet, ensuring compliance with Department of Transportation (DOT) and Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA) regulations. The ideal candidate will work closely with our Fleet Safety Operations Manager to drive engagement among drivers, office staff, dispatchers, and customers, while maintaining a high level of safety and compliance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategies to improve safety and compliance across the fleet
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and address safety concerns
  • Conduct accident investigations and provide recommendations for improvement
  • Monitor and analyze safety metrics to inform decision-making
  • Develop and deliver safety training programs to drivers and other stakeholders
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry best practices
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety Management, Industrial Hygiene, Environmental Science, or related field
  • 2+ years of experience in environmental, health, and safety within supply chain, retail, manufacturing, or engineering
  • Experience with Continuous Improvement methodologies (e.g. TPM, WCM, Lean Six Sigma)
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1+ degreed certifications (e.g. ASP, CSP, CIH, GSP) or non-degreed certifications (e.g. SMS, OHS, STS, NAMTI)
  • Microsoft Office Suite, SharePoint, and OneDrive experience
