Position Overview

This role involves the maintenance and repair of sophisticated diagnostic and therapeutic imaging devices. The successful candidate will be responsible for:

  • Equipment Analysis: Troubleshooting and repairing complex imaging systems using established testing methodologies.
  • Installation and Calibration: Setting up and calibrating new imaging equipment to ensure optimal performance.
  • Service Responsibilities: Conducting general maintenance on imaging devices in compliance with industry standards and regulations.
  • Collaboration: Working closely with clinical staff to address their imaging needs effectively.
  • Technical Support: Providing assistance to imaging personnel in the operation of advanced diagnostic devices.
  • Training and Development: Mentoring Biomedical Technicians and Imaging Technicians to enhance their skills and knowledge.
  • Documentation: Keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repairs performed on imaging equipment.
  • Equipment Selection: Assisting in the evaluation and selection of new imaging technology and making recommendations for upgrades.
  • Quality Assurance: Coordinating with radiation physicists for equipment testing and compliance with health regulations.
  • Policy Development: Contributing to the creation of maintenance policies and procedures for imaging equipment.
Qualifications

Licensure: A valid driver's license is required.

Education: High School Diploma or GED is mandatory.

Experience: A minimum of 2 years in biomedical imaging, including expertise in digital imaging and networking technologies.

Skills and Abilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Word and Excel.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership capabilities.
  • Willingness to travel to various locations as required.
Physical Requirements

The role requires physical stamina, including the ability to lift and carry equipment as needed. The work environment may expose the incumbent to various hazards, necessitating the use of protective gear.
