Chief Estimator

The client is a reputable heavy civil construction contractor with a strong presence in the market, undertaking projects such as underground pipe installations, pump stations, tunneling, and trenching. With over 300 years of combined management experience, the company has established a culture that fosters long-term employee tenure.

The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing bids for various utility projects, ranging from $1 million to $20 million. Key responsibilities include procuring and negotiating material pricing and subcontractors, coordinating cost-progress targets with production rates, and preparing detailed cost analyses for material, equipment, and labor.

• Prepare bids for utility projects

• Develop, monitor, and update progress schedules using Microsoft Project and Primavera P6

The successful candidate will have a degree in engineering, preferably civil engineering. A minimum of 5 years of estimating experience in the heavy construction industry is required, along with proficiency in MS Office and strong written and verbal skills. The candidate must be able to read and interpret construction plans and specifications, and have strong organization skills to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
