Job Summary:

Our Rotor-Wing Pilots provide customer-oriented, high-quality air medical transport services in a safe and efficient manner. The pilot is expected to act as a proactive and integral team player, both in flight and during ground operations, utilizing communication and technical skills that will strengthen the company's goal of being held in the highest regard within the EMS industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains a schedule as set forth by the company.
  • Ensures aircraft readiness for flight dispatches, including all FAR requirements, company requirements, aircraft cleanliness duties, and flight crew requirements.
  • Accurately completes all required paperwork duties, including duty shift change forms, load manifests, duty/time sheets, and other relevant documents.
  • Continues in educational betterment, including computer training, ground training, and flight training.
  • Ensures that any and all pertinent information about flight operations is disseminated to the shift change pilot and/or through the company's communications board.
  • Conducts himself/herself in a professional manner at all times.
  • Attends meetings when required and is available for training and check-flights outside of normal duty shift rotation.
  • Upholds current company policies and procedures.
  • Performs other duties during scheduled shifts as requested by the Director of Operations or Chief Pilot.
  • Maintains safety as the primary concern.

Requirements:

  • Must have a valid pilot's license and meet all relevant regulatory requirements.
  • Must have a strong understanding of aircraft systems and operations.
  • Must be able to work effectively in a team environment.
  • Must be able to communicate effectively with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
