Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate ICU Registered Nurse to join our team at East Ohio LLC. As an ICU Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

Responsibilities:
  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient's hemodynamic and cardiac status, and interpret cardiac rhythms.
  • Initiate and manage IV medications and blood components, and administer medications using the Rights of Medication Administration.
  • Document patient's physical assessments and report abnormalities to the practitioner.
  • Establish priorities of patient care based on essential needs and available resources of time, equipment, personnel, and supplies.
  • Review and implement new orders and keep physician informed of changes in patients' clinical status.
  • Explain all procedures and care to patients, and provide privacy and allow patients to express emotional needs.
  • Accurately record and/or process orders in a timely manner.
  • Participate in Continuous Quality Improvement Program by assisting in finding new and better ways of performing duties and responsibilities.
Requirements:
  • Cardiac rhythm interpretation.
  • Strong computer skills and EMR use.
  • Ability to handle stress of working efficiently with frequent interruptions and distractions.
  • Highly motivated and willing to work additional jobs and duties as needed.
  • Ability to prioritize.
  • Use of telephones and fax/copy machines.
  • Willingness to float to other departments to meet patient care needs.
  • Recognition of signs of child and elder abuse and reporting appropriately to Social Services/Child/Adult Protective Services.
Physical Requirements:
  • Frequent sitting, standing, and walking.
  • Occasional reaching, bending, pulling, pushing, twisting, and squatting.
  • Occasional hand and wrist deviation.
  • Occasional lifting/carrying up to 50 pounds.
  • Occasional exposure to hazardous chemicals or infections and ionizing radiation.
  • Occasional requirement to wear Personal Protective Equipment.
