Behavior Intervention Specialist

Join the DCSD team as a Behavior Technician, a vital role in supporting students with autism and other special needs. As a Behavior Technician, you will work closely with our Autism Specialists, Behavior Specialists, and licensed Special Education providers to implement behavior and intervention plans designed to promote positive outcomes for our students.

• Provide modeling, coaching, and guidance to special education staff on implementing skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans.
• Develop and promote good community relations among district and community clientele.
• Collaborate with school teams and other specialists to design and deliver interventions and structures.
• Model professionalism and collaboration with stakeholders, and build rapport with students and their families.
• Collect student data and implement skill-acquisition and behavior-reduction plans developed by supervisors.

• High School or Equivalent
• Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) certification
• Crisis Prevention Institute (CPI) certification
• Ability to lift 50-70 pounds and perform frequent bending, standing, and walking
