Position Summary:
We are currently seeking a dedicated and experienced Travel Orthopedic and Neurological Registered Nurse (RN) to become a vital part of our exceptional team. As a Registered Nurse (RN) at WTCP, you will play a crucial role in enhancing patient care and outcomes.
This position offers the chance to work within a company that prioritizes innovation, operational excellence, and personal development.
Work Schedule:
The working hours for this role are Nights from 6:30 PM to 7:00 AM. This position requires availability for every other weekend and vacation, along with 12-hour shifts. The travel RN may also be expected to float to other units as necessary.
Contract Duration:
This role is offered as a contractor position for a duration of 13 weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Utilize the nursing process and collaborate with interdisciplinary team members to provide comprehensive patient care.
2. Administer prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with established nursing protocols, policies, and state regulations.
3. Document patient care activities in compliance with standards of care.
4. Develop, implement, and manage individualized patient care plans as directed by physicians and in accordance with hospital policies, including patient and family education.
5. Engage in performance improvement initiatives within the department or unit, which may include shared governance.
6. Provide clinical expertise and guidance to other units/departments in support of the patient's longitudinal care plan.
7. Apply critical thinking skills to ensure patient safety and enhance the patient experience, escalating issues to the appropriate chain of command when necessary.
Qualifications:
- Current and unencumbered Wisconsin RN state licensure.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience as a Registered Nurse in the relevant specialty.
- BLS/BCLS and ACLS certification required.
- Bachelor’s degree in nursing preferred.
- Must be fully vaccinated for COVID-19 and influenza.
- Strong communication skills with patients, families, physicians, and hospital staff.
- Basic computer proficiency.
- Professional and approachable demeanor.
