Intensive Care Unit Nurse Job Description

Providence Newberg Medical Center is seeking a skilled Intensive Care Unit Nurse to join our team. As a critical care nurse, you will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, working closely with our interdisciplinary team to deliver exceptional patient outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide direct patient care to critically ill patients, including assessment, planning, implementation, and evaluation of care.
  • Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.
  • Monitor and manage patient vital signs, administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare team members to ensure seamless care transitions.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and safety.

Requirements:

  • Graduation from an accredited nursing program.
  • Current Oregon Registered Nurse License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • At least one year of experience in a critical care setting.
