Job Title: Clinical Psychologist

Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Clinical Psychologist to join our multi-disciplinary team at Intermountain Healthcare. As a vital member of our team, you will provide comprehensive medical and counseling services to patients, working collaboratively with psychiatrists, psychologists, nursing, and other disciplines.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct patient interviews and administer diagnostic tests to assess patient needs.
  • Develop and implement behavior modification programs, treatment, and intervention plans.
  • Collaborate with the behavioral health team to provide individual, family, or group psychotherapy.
  • Assess patient medical history, mental health history, and current presentation to understand patient needs.
  • Diagnose and treat various mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
  • Develop a plan of care, either individually or with input from the patient, patient family/significant others, physicians, and other healthcare team members.
  • Provide treatment based on patient need and evidence-based interventions.
  • Refer patients to other services to improve their well-being.
  • Properly document pertinent information regarding the patient's plan of care.
  • Work with the multi-disciplinary team to develop a discharge plan to ensure continuity of care.
  • Provide psychological testing as indicated by the patient condition.

Requirements:

  • Doctorate degree (Ph.D. or Psy.D.) in Psychology from an accredited institution.
  • Current Utah license as a psychologist.
  • Adherence to all appropriate standards of practice as outlined by the American Psychological Association, State Licensing Board, and Intermountain Healthcare.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in a behavioral health outpatient setting.
  • Consideration for LCSW, CMHC, LPC, and LMFT candidates.

Work Environment:

This position requires frequent interactions with patient care providers, patients, and visitors, necessitating the ability to verbally communicate, hear, and understand spoken information, as well as respond quickly to emergent needs or issues that may arise with patients.
