Soliant is seeking a dedicated and experienced Special Education Teacher to join our team in a school district near Westfield, IN. As a Special Education Teacher, you will be responsible for providing high-quality education to students with special needs, creating and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs), and collaborating with colleagues to ensure student success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students with special needs.
- Assess student progress and adjust instruction to meet individual learning goals.
- Collaborate with colleagues, including general education teachers, related service providers, and other support staff, to ensure a comprehensive and inclusive educational environment.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians to keep them informed of student progress and involve them in the educational process.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay current on best practices in special education and to enhance teaching skills.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Special Education or a related field.
- Active State of Indiana Certification as a Special Education Teacher with a license in Severe Disabilities or Intense Interventions.
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in special education teaching.
