Nurse Specialist in Medical-Surgical and Telemetry Care

About the Role
You will provide expert nursing care in acute settings as a Nurse Specialist. Your responsibilities include assessing patient needs, planning and implementing care, collaborating with interdisciplinary teams, and ensuring quality delivery.
Job Overview
The successful candidate will have recent experience working in medical-surgical and telemetry units, providing specialized care to patients. You will assess patient conditions, coordinate treatment plans, monitor vital signs, and respond promptly to changes in health status. You will administer medications, perform procedures, and provide education to promote recovery and self-care management. You will work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver high-quality nursing care to patients in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
- Assess patient conditions, identify areas for improvement, and develop individualized care plans.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Administer medications, perform procedures, and provide patient education to promote recovery and self-care management.
Requirements
- Current RN license.
- BLS certification (additional certifications may be required by the facility).
- Recent experience working in medical-surgical and telemetry units.
- Strong communication and adaptability skills.
