Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Gastroenterology Physician to provide comprehensive care in a dynamic healthcare environment. This role involves both outpatient and inpatient responsibilities, with potential for telehealth services.

Practice Details
  • Patient Load: Approximately 30 patients per shift
  • Department Capacity: 3 beds available
Technology Utilized

Electronic Medical Records (EMR): Athena/Medhost

Holidays Observed

Our practice observes the following holidays:

  • New Year's Day
  • Memorial Day
  • Independence Day
  • Labor Day
  • Thanksgiving Day
  • Christmas Day
Call Responsibilities

Call Ratio: 1:1

Type: In-house for assigned patients only

Response Time: 30 minutes

Call Back Rate: Less than 10%

Consultations: Phone consults with an average of 3 patients seen

Admissions: Approximately 1 to 3 per shift

Required Competencies

The ideal candidate will possess the following skills:

  • Upper GI endoscopy with biopsy
  • Lower GI endoscopy
  • Colonoscopy with biopsy and polyp excision
Licensure and Certifications

Applicants must hold a valid TX License or IMLC, and be board certified in ENT. Additionally, certifications in ABLS, ACLS, ATLS, and BLS are required.
