Our competitive compensation package includes a base hourly pay of $57.75, with opportunities to earn up to an additional $10 in float premium pay and $7 in shift differential pay for evening, night, and weekend shifts.

As a key member of our care team, you'll provide exceptional patient care, collaborating closely with physicians, ancillary personnel, and other interdisciplinary team members to ensure seamless delivery of services. Your expertise will be instrumental in addressing the physical, psychological, social, cultural, and spiritual needs of patients and their families throughout the continuum of care.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough assessments as established by unit standards and scope of practice
  • Develop, coordinate, and implement individualized plans of care, incorporating patient education, family needs, and discharge planning
  • Provide direct patient care, including treatments, medications, and diagnostic studies, adhering to policy and procedure guidelines
  • Evaluate the effectiveness of interventions and revise the plan of care accordingly
  • Promote a safe environment for patients and staff through effective problem-solving and equipment management

To succeed in this role, you should possess a minimum of 1 year of current and/or prior experience in bedside inpatient nursing. Preference is given to those with previous float assignments or travel nursing experience. You must be able to work day/night rotation or straight night shifts at multiple facilities, including Geisinger Medical Center, Geisinger Bloomsburg Hospital, and Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital.
