Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Certified Nursing Assistant to join our team at Bell Minor Home. As a key member of our care team, you will provide high-quality resident care and support, promoting a safe and comfortable environment for our residents.

Responsibilities
  • Provide direct resident care duties under the supervision of licensed nursing personnel, including personal care, grooming, and mobility assistance.
  • Assist with promoting a positive and supportive environment for residents, encouraging independence and dignity.
  • Record resident vital signs, weights, and measurements, as well as food consumption and other relevant information.
  • Participate in collecting data for the accurate completion of the Minimum Data Set (MDS) and plan of care.
  • Provide input to the nurses for development of the plan of care and support residents in making choices within the caregiving environment.
  • Assist with meal preparation and transportation, ensuring residents have access to food and hydration as needed.
  • Keep accurate records of food intake and output, as directed.
  • Assist nursing staff with aseptic and sterile techniques to prevent infection and contamination.
  • Promptly answer call lights and respond to resident needs in a timely and professional manner.
  • Utilize proper body mechanics when lifting or transporting residents, ensuring their safety and well-being.
  • Attend in-service education programs to meet facility educational requirements and stay up-to-date on industry best practices.
  • Maintain confidentiality of resident and facility records, as well as protect residents from neglect, mistreatment, and abuse.
  • Protect the personal property of residents and adhere to attendance standards per Attendance Policy.
  • Meet established housekeeping standards within assigned duty areas.
Requirements
  • Current Nursing Assistant Certification from the state
  • High School Graduate or GED
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with flexibility and personal integrity
  • Meet general health requirements set forth by the policies of Bell Minor Home
