Service Technician

Charlie's Dodge CJR, a leading automotive dealership, is seeking a skilled Service Technician to join our team. As a Master Service Technician, you will utilize your vehicle maintenance expertise to perform vehicle maintenance and repair work according to dealer and factory standards.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Inspect and diagnose automotive and light duty trucks repairs needed
  • Troubleshoot and diagnose computer control system components, using scanners and/or laptop computers
  • Repairs or replaces engines, transmissions, brake, and air conditioning/climate control systems
  • Repairs or replaces electrical, electronic, and computer controls and fuel systems
  • Performs preventive maintenance and services vehicles by lubricating, changing oil, and servicing transmissions
  • Performs tune-ups and replaces alternators/voltage regulators and replaces or repairs ignition systems
  • Replaces wheel bearings, universal joints, main bearings, head gaskets, pistons, rings, and hydraulic valve-lifters

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • 2-3 years of automotive diagnosis and problem-solving experience preferred
  • Valid driver's license and a fairly clean driving record
  • ASE certifications preferred
  • Solid organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
  • Passion and understanding of the industry
  • Attention to detail
