Position: Quality Assurance Compliance Analyst

Location: Eau Claire, WI

Compensation: $75-80,000 (negotiable) plus benefits

Role Overview:

  • This role operates independently under the guidance of the Quality Assurance Compliance Supervisor.
  • Accountable for the creation, execution, and upkeep of incoming material standard operating procedures for the facility, covering all aspects from sampling to final decision-making, including routine, investigative, and monitoring initiatives in partnership with Research and Development, procurement, and Quality Control.
  • Facilitate the investigation of non-conforming results.
  • Responsible for making disposition decisions for compliant materials as well as non-conforming incoming materials following the established approval process.
  • Tasked with the collection and submission of deviation reports utilizing SAP.
  • Serve as the primary liaison for ingredient and packaging suppliers, collaborating with them to develop corrective actions for discrepancies identified upon receipt or during production, coordinating with Research and Development and procurement as necessary.
  • Collaborate with a cross-functional team including procurement, production, and planning to ensure that key priorities and functional requirements are met through appropriate measures and trend analysis.
  • Support Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point (HACCP) initiatives by coordinating, completing, and communicating qualification testing in support of Research and Development for new materials or recipe changes.
  • Assist in factory HACCP by reviewing and communicating results for incoming materials analysis, including contaminant monitoring.
  • Ensure compliance of finished products using appropriate action levels derived from incoming materials analysis. Responsible for updating the factory Quality Monitoring Scheme for incoming materials in collaboration with Quality Assurance.
  • Prepare, review, and maintain records of inspections and dispositions in accordance with regulatory standards.
  • Participate in mock recall and trace exercises.
  • Support Kosher and regulatory programs by acting as a factory contact regarding incoming materials handling and maintenance during audits.
  • Assist in consumer complaint investigations and improvement initiatives related to packaging materials and ingredients.
  • Conduct onsite Supplier Audits for the facility annually as required.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required, preferably in microbiology, chemistry, or food science.
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in Quality Assurance, preferably within the food and beverage manufacturing sector.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel; experience with SAP is preferred.
  • Willingness to travel as required by business needs.
