Key Responsibilities:

  • Work in the Adult Cardiac Operating Room, caring for a diverse range of patients undergoing procedures such as Coronary Artery Bypass Grafting (CABG), Transcatheter Aortic Valve Implantation (TAVI), and addressing Heart Failure cases using Ventricular Assist Devices (VADs), Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO), artificial hearts, and heart transplants.
  • Utilize a multidisciplinary approach to provide care for patients of all ages, working collaboratively with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care.
  • Support transplant procedures involving livers, kidneys, and hearts using two Davinci robots utilized by multiple services.
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of cardiac surgical procedures, including pre-operative, intra-operative, and post-operative care.
  • Participate in ongoing education and training to stay current with the latest advancements in cardiac surgery and technology.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of two years of operating room experience, with a focus on cardiac surgery.
  • Valid Surgical Tech License.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Ability to circulate all cardiac cases.
  • Experience in a Level 1 trauma center preferred.
