Job Summary

The University of Virginia seeks a highly skilled and detail-oriented Police Services Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the University Police Department, you will play a critical role in promoting efficient operations and record keeping, while providing exceptional customer service to our students, faculty, and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage and maintain accurate and up-to-date records and databases, ensuring compliance with state and federal regulations.
  • Provide fingerprinting services to the University community, utilizing a Live Scan finger-printing machine.
  • Operate the Virginia Criminal Information Network system, linked to the National Criminal database.
  • Respond to emergency calls, monitor security chatters, and relay information to 911 dispatch.
  • Monitor and activate the University's Emergency Alert System and emergency siren.
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or equivalent.
  • At least two years of customer service or administrative experience.
  • Valid Virginia driver's license.
  • Strong customer service skills and attention to detail.
