Aviation Expert

The Mission Solutions and Technologies (MST) business area at SNC Ltd provides a unique opportunity for an experienced aviation professional to apply their skills in ensuring the airworthiness of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts.

As an Aviation Expert - Airworthiness Specialist, you will play a crucial role in inspecting our aircraft, identifying any breaches of standards for airworthiness, and conducting final inspections of minor work. Your inspection authority will include all in-process inspections, approval for return to service of minor work, and ensuring compliance with government regulations.

The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, plus 5 or more years of relevant experience, or a higher level degree that may substitute for experience. Active FAA Airframe and Powerplant certification is also required.

You will be responsible for thorough knowledge of aircraft, aircraft systems, equipment, and parts, as well as understanding and experience with product audit and inspection processes and procedures. Microsoft Office Suite skills are essential, particularly Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel.

A Secret U.S. Security Clearance is required for this position, which involves a thorough background check process. The successful candidate will demonstrate allegiance to the U.S., no foreign influence, and a strong track record.

The estimated salary for this role is $85,000-$110,000 per year, depending on experience and qualifications. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision plans, 401(k) with a 150% match up to 6%, life insurance, three weeks paid time off, tuition reimbursement, and more.
