Job Title: Maintenance TechnicianWe are seeking a skilled Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for operating material handling equipment, performing preventive maintenance inspections and repairs, and assisting with department moves.
Key Responsibilities:- Operate fork trucks to perform daily tasks, load wood compactors, and move scrap metals.
- Assist with preventative maintenance of cranes, dock equipment, material handling equipment, HVAC equipment, fire protection equipment, and other systems.
- Perform scheduled maintenance and emergency repairs, including painting and patching, ceiling tile replacement, plumbing work, and lamp replacement.
- Assist with department moves and equipment setup.
- Support client satisfaction by ensuring timely and accurate communication.
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- Two to five years of facilities maintenance experience, including electrical, mechanical, plumbing, carpentry, or equivalent combination of training, education, and experience.
- Valid driver's license and ability to obtain forklift and man lift licenses.
- Ability to read and interpret documents, write routine reports, and speak effectively before groups.
The employee is regularly required to walk, sit, stand, or talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to reach with hands and arms, use hands to finger, handle or feel. The employee is occasionally required to climb or balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
Work Environment:The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions, high, precarious places, fumes or airborne particles, outside weather conditions, extreme cold, extreme heat, risk of electrical shock, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
